Volanc was one of the many inspired by the Abiding book and his
warriors were very much a part of the Crusade of Rightness. But he
was just one of many. The Knights of Saint Volanc are just one of the
numerous holy orders found throughout the Middle Sea Empire, though
they are among the most intolarant and militant. Unlike the Gerlanti,
the Church comes first and feudal loyalty takes second place to
purity of purpose.
Very much an artifact of the Empire, I suspect they do not survive
into the Third Age though they may eventually have been subsumed into
the purists who became the Rokari as they too used the Sharp Abiding
Book.
