I would put that down as "Adventurer Rumor" and assign it an "F" rating. Sure, all previous mentions (Scorpion Hall, Lord of Chaos/Terror, Book of Drastic Resoultions: Chaos) have them laying eggs, but that's because the authors didn't do their research (sez I). It's also noted that "most nonchaotic people are unaware that queens exist, and often chaotic races only know of them through rumor". So whatever you want to tell your player/heroes is fine. But unless we're going to throw out the "Scorpion" part of scorpion men, live birth is the way to go. Along with all the other scorpion wierdnes.
