This, by the way, is something I'm not keen to see. While the rules system doesn't make too obvious, the feats are actual "tricks" of gods and heroes, each learned by heroquesting (at an easy level).

Just making compleatly new ones up on the fly sounds very wrong to me.

Creative use of feats is something I encourage, on the other hand. A character with a feat that helps throw a spear a long way (I forget the precise name of the feat) used the feat to throw a rope accross a small river. I thought that was worth a -10 improvisation penalty, but also was something that basically should have a chanse to work.
