Wrong. It has true insights (a link to the ultimate), but that goes "across the borders of the otherworlds", hence it takes some "understanding" of the ultimate to get those insights.

Not harder to perform. Harder to learn or improve, maybe. More magic is used up for creating the gateway than in the right mode of contact.

The otherworld will appear more hostile (but then, visit Karulinoran during the Great Darkness...). Once in the hero plane, no additional hardship is to be expected.
