I agree, especially about Glorantha.

One of the characters in my campaign is an Esrolian trader, the apprentice of a travelling goldentongue. His grandmother Dunlaith is an asrelian, and she prophesized to him that he will always miss Esrolia no matter how far he travels, that he would always return and that his children would be born there.

That's a pretty good prophecy.

I also asked the players if they wanted a Wyrd for their character that would lead them towards some glorious destiny or doom, and they did. They didn't want to know about the wyrd to start with, but now I have pretty free reign to direct the game towards great and terrible things.

Very celtic, I think :) and now I know who are going to start recieving visions about the god-child slumbering in Snakepipe Hollow...
