These are pretty much mountain folk. Clans whose main gods are Yinkin and Odayla. There are no Humakti to be found, and the people involved are pretty distrustful of people outside of their own clan.
But I think you are right. At least in theory the Duel should lay things to rest. I'm just not sure it would work. Blood feuds have a way of escalating.
