I would note however, that Vinga is also the Red Woman, who is
heavily into vengeance. Kallyr has very good grounds for this - while
retaining her Vingan nature...
It is also interesting to note that, during the Great Darkness, most
people survived by _not_ clinging fanatically to their faith in
Orlanth but in finding new ways to survive. Orlanth couldn't help
anyone after he entered the Underworld. Fimbulwinter results in those
being overly traditional and fanatic suffering but those who rely on
themselves or their ancestrals (read people, not gods) seem to
survive in better order.
