It depends on the regiment involved.

Many Lunar regiments come from other backgrounds. So, you have different deities worshipped in the regiments, as well as the Regimental Deity. Yanafal Tarnils is really the Officers' Cult and even then the Commanding Office may well not be a member of Yanafal Tarnils as he worsips Yelm or Pole star or some other wargod instead.

In my games, the Standard Bearer is always a Yanafali as are many of the Officers. The rank and file are generally not Yanafali, but they could be.

Where the soldiers have specifically religious duties, such as guarding temples, guarding priests, guarding HeroQuestors, performing Lunar HeroQuests, then they would probably be Yanafal Tarnils worshippers.

But, to a Humakti an Oath-Breaker is an Oath-Breaker, no matter the circumstances or to whom the Oath was made.

The way to resolve this, of course, is a Humakti Duel. The winner is clearly shown to be in the right.

Also, don't forget that a Humakti might see a Yanafali's breaking his oath as being a means to resheath in Humakt. You have to cut away the ties that bind you to your old regiment/life to allow you to join a new regiment/life in Humakt.

It's complicated.

See Ya
