That implication must have passed me by; I'd always assumed that Yinkini could be either men or women. We know that there are female followers of, for example, Lhankor Mhy and Issaries, why should Yinkin be any different? Heortlings in general don't seem to be very gender-restrictive when it comes to cults, unlike some other cultures.

Plus, there are, IIRC, female Yinkini in the 'King of Dragon Pass' computer game. Which isn't, I suppose, proof positive, but does at least seem rather suggestive.
