First, thanks to you all for your ideas and suggestions about Sea Metal. Writing scenarios using your ideas is a new experience for me and it's very interesting, making for more game fun.

So here's what I've synthetized from it all.

There is also one Sea Metal, called quicksilver or sa-metal. It is both the blood and bones of sea gods. Its natural form is of course liquid and it is of a blue color, the color of water. It sinks and there are rivers of it at the bottom of the seas. Also, some nodules float around at all depths.

It's very hard to get for mermen : either you have to spend days with great nets gathering a few nodules, or you have to dive very deep and face the monsters of the dark to bring some back from the mercury rivers (perhaps it's even a heroquest). They do it anyway because they need both for practical reasons (it's the hardest stuff they have for spearheads, knives, etc) and for religious reasons, making the blood/bones of their gods into religious items. They use ritual magics to solidify and shape quicksilver.

Mermen would be very interested to get a large supply of sa-metal brought effortlessly to them by walkers. They'll point this out and tell the heroes they have to dig up their ancestors' bones in the petrified sea to get more goodies from sunken Slontos.

First, they'll have to get help from the miners of Digger Fort, get "Find Quicksilver" magic somewhere, gather everything and go to the petrified sea. Then there will be some skirmishing to protect the dig site (with ogres or bandits hiding there). But the main event will be volcano warriors from the maldros who do not want strangers to desecrate their holy site, where their God triumphed over the Seas ! Some might even be NPC (and a former PC) who they met before.

And of course, once they get the sea metal, stones will turn to water and roaring waves celebrating their newfound freedom. It'll be a contest to reach ship in time or get drowned...
