Pavis is in Prax, right?

I wrote this up years ago. HW rules at the end.

Though the Dorasari settlers from Heortland still prefer Alynxes, those feline companions were driven to extinction in Old Pavis during the Troll Occupation. Old City residents during that time bred dogs to their desparate needs, resulting in the breed known as the Pavic Trollhound. Mansiders expect single trained trollhounds to kill single armed trollkin warriors, and untrained ones to kill typical enlo. Notable for their savage hatred of all Uz-kind, trollhounds also have several other breed traits:

Barkless, as barking dogs only serve to alert hunting trolls to the location of Mansiders, not to mention tasty dogs. This trait shows their descent from the Uvathasa or Dog-like-a-cat, which most Heortlings despise even more than other breeds. Otherwise they are more like Rowgan guard dogs. Grey or tan topcoats, with the best of breed showing white blazes on the back of the neck and rear haunches. This coloring helps their handlers see them at night from the rear, while making them difficult to see from the front or side in the dark or out on the open plain.

Traditional trollhounds range in size from "No rating" to Small 10, but with the relative prosperity experienced by Mansiders since the end of the Occupation, some breeders have been selecting for larger animals, up to Large 12 – as big as a great dane or wolfhound. Some Pavisites use these larger breeds to hunt trollkin in the Huntlands. Without specific attack training, trollhounds show no interest in attacking humans, elves or dwarves. Instead they greet all humans like friends, ignore dwarfs, and show limited curiosity toward elves.

Pavic Trollhound

Weapons and Armor: Bite 19^1
Significant Abilities: Keep Silent 16, Smell Uz 18, Hate Uz 20, Hear Uz Darksense 20, Loyal 18. Tactics: Trollhounds bite the legs or arms of their opponents and clamp down, hampering the enemy while the dog's master fights it. When attacking any Uz, they augment their Bite with Hate Uz. When they hear Uz Darksense or smell Uz, trained trollhounds attempt to find their master or some other human, staring at them, pawing or poking them with their nose rather than barking. When hunting or guarding against other strangers, trollhounds use their "Hear Darksense" or "Smell Uz" with a -3 modifier.
