OK, so thanks to your answers I chose the following possibilities. Also, note that each of them should be led by an Argrath of some sort. This solves nicely the issue of "how many Argrath"

> the Heortling = you know them. Led by Argrath Dragonfriend.

> the alakoring = tarshites.

> the grandmother peoples = esrolians (mostly warrior women from BG I'd say)

> the Nine Totems Folk = the praxians (but they're no orlanthi) with Bison,
Llama, Impala, Sable, Morocanth, Rhino and... who else ? led by Argrath White Bull.

> the Sons of Hykim = the vorlani of Wenelia

> the Bull Tamers = ralians (because I couldn't fit them anywhere else and I
want them in this list)

> the Helerings = the Atelli from Wenelia mostly ; other water-worshippers join
them.

> the Ice Rhino People = Valindings led by an Argrath who tamed the Ice Rhino
which invaded Dragon Pass during the Fimbülwinter. He rides this beast everywhere.

> the Over the Seas Folk = Wolf Pirates, with Harrek as an Argrath.
