"Only"? Probably not, but since it's an opponent in an Elmal HeroQuest, that would probably be a more reliable way to defeat it (if you have the Elmali ability to be torn apart and resurrect yourself, that is). Since this is Glorantha, there are probably other ways to approach it; leftover God Learner devices, for instance, or some kind of Stasis magic to freeze it in one form, or Storm Bull magic, or Law magic.

Does "The Thing with Many Bodies" remind anybody of the Red Emperor, who is one being reincarnated into many different forms?
