I've always thought that the religion of the Godlearner Collective was an accidentally Blue Moon-contrived hodgepodge of various cults all rolled into one, some time during the Second Age.

The Closing, the end of the EWF, the disappearance of Jrustela, the Panoptic curse are all the result of Blue Moon machinations, IMO. Not that we know which Blue Moon or how. Anyone who does, or appears to know, disappears.
