This came as a surprise to me too, given Valare Addi's persistent emphasis on learning the signs.
Turns out that the old Naverian ideograms that Valare Addi journeyed so far to uncover are (appropriately) not illustrated in the Green Page Edition. Still, while the Federae are not really an "script," they are present -- IMG they appear in rock painting, potsherd "chops," a symbolic stratum of the Hero Plane and so on.
