So does this mean that Ernalda's healing magic (or all healing magic?) is derived from her association with Chalana Arroy, or is Ernalda's healing an aspect of what her magic does for the Community?

Ernalda's runes include Life/Fertility as well as Harmony, which to me suggests that Ernalda's take on Harmony should include some limited healing, (though clearly not the full range of the more specialist Chalana Arroy)

My ultimate point, I guess, is this: why does Ernalda need Chalana Arroy in order to perform her (unspectacular but useful) healing feats? Why can she not do so using her own powers?

Ironically I can see Wizards and Sorcerors being more likely to believe that all healing magic has the same source (an Eranschula of the Harmony rune-- not quite Chalana Arroy as she is known to the Heortlings, though the wizards and sorcerors might see Chalana Arroy as a pagan's superstitious misunderstanding of this ultimate source of healing/harmony) than theists.

And each explanation works for them!

Correct. Harmony is not just Healing - it is also Community and Belonging. Healing is Chalana Arroy's baliwick (although Ernalda is a healer as well), Community and Belonging is Ernalda's. Page 130 of Sartar has some discussion of the latter.
