Such spirits and gods are everywhere. Outside of the Brithini and Rokari, many westerners routinely interact with all sorts of "demons" (used as a generic term for otherworldly being). Some are given traditional offerings established by the ancestors, some are given ceremonies if they will stay away, others are commanded by specific spells (like the "Compel Returned One" - used by those who know the "Book of Twenty Five Curses" to compel an evil spirit to animate a corpse). Many spells require that the caster not be ritually polluted by contact with spirits or gods, others do not.

In the Safelster city states and in much of Fronela (particularly Jonaltela), worship of gods and spirits coexist with Malkioni worship of the Invisible God. Umathela often combines meditation and sorcery (most notoriously the Cult of Silence which used silence to achieve inner growth) and even odder mixtures have existed.
