I'd say it all depends on the type of river one is envisioning. For me the CreakStreamRiver would be the sort of mighty river that even very strong swimmers would be hesitant to try and cross (like the Mississipi or the St. Lawrence), The River itself would be more on par with the Rhine or Thames, and The Creak and The Stream perhaps like the Seine..... but I grew up around pretty major rivers, I'd hardly bother naming and marking on the map anything you couldn't navigate with a small sail boat :-)
But obviously the Stream and Creak, based on their names, could well be viewed as much smaller than that. So lacking official descriptions, I imagine we'll all go along with different images in our head!
