OK, thanks to your remarks, I think we will have the character come from Casino Town, venerating the Lady of Credit. His use of the Luck Rune will be decided by the PLAYER, who will explain what would happen if he made the roll. If it works, all the others can only say "wow, such luck". BUT there is a price. "She giveth and taketh", so every time Luck activates, the character... the character, hem... suffers some penalty that is both interesting to play and would prevent the use of Luck to become a game-killer. Any specific ideas ?

Our Lady of Credit ("she giveth and she taketh away") is a philosophical entity in God Forgot and venerated by the patrons of Casino Town. There is rumoured to be a secret collection of spells that adjust the probabilities in various card games, dice games, and other odds-based games in the spell-caster's favor.

There's a cult in Esrolia that worships a goose the cultists claim is an incarnation of the goddess of Luck. When they seek to know the path or decision favored by Luck, they scatter grain marked with symbols before the goose. The first one it eats is the lucky path.

And so on.
