I'm fully intending to someday have someone march a hundred miles in the wrong direction because they misunderstood a town name...just waiting for the write massive fail ;-) (could well be an NPC, not necessary going to be cruel to a player)
But also, as the hero wars heat up, I could see some sort of Shibboleth coming into to use for, say, Sartarites to weed out Tarshite spies who have learned otherwise passable language skills.
