My theory is that the little bastards are so aggravating no normal human cult wants them around. Only freaks like death cults could possibly accept them. In fact, not even Eurmal wants ducks (ever heard of a duck trickster ?) though, on second thought, every durulz is a de facto trickster, good for stoning only.

The thought of an odaylan bear-duck waddling in the woods, bow in paw, after some rodent (skunk, opposum etc.) I find both hilarious and too horrible to bear !

More "seriously" (if anything said here can be considered serious), no duck needs to hunt : they fish, they gather amphibians, molluscs and worms, they also eat some riverweeds. And they NEVER stray far from the water, the only element where they have a chance to survive.

Finally, if having a duck odaylan in your world appeals to you, then by all means feel free - and enjoy !
