Yes, the Block is a chunk of the Spike that flew away in the explosion,
and, rather appropriately, landed on top of Wakboth, crushing and
trapping him beneath it. Bits of him still ooze out into the marsh
beside it. (Not that this is hugely relevant to a Sartar campaign, which
is why it isn't in that book, but, yeah, that's what it is).
