When you look at the faces of Shepelkirt, it gets more complicated.
First off, is there a documented absence of the Dead Moon/former Planet known as Verithurus (and/or Jernedeus) at the Ritual of the Net? All the dead deities of Yelm's Court in Hell participated, right?
Aside: Did Jagrekriand/Shargash participate, or was he still among the "living" surface deities (who got accepted in the Compromise nevertheless)?
Shah Nadar was a worshipper of Natha, the current incarnation of Sedenya, when there was no Red Moon in the sky. The Red Goddess also claims various incarnations of planetary and surface goddesses which had followers in contact (read: conflict) with the Orlanthi, all of those sanctioned by the compromise. I get the impression that the main contention against the Red Goddess is the incursion of the Moon into the Middle Air, perhaps with some slight nod at the wound in the earth formed by the Crater.
All that Nysalor and Chaos connection grates against the Heortlings, too. (Nysalor may not be an issue to non-Heortling Orlanthi, while Chaos still would be.)
The unhealed Orlanthi recognize that Rufelza is bad, because she tries to conquer the Middle Air and makes use of Chaos. Since Rufelza is a subcult of Sedenya, this makes Sedenya as bad.
