Actually they don't say you have to BE an initiate to heroquest. What they say is you have to be at least an initiate to initiate one. (Man that's confusing).

That's why I don't understand how an initiation heroquest could be solo. Is it just solo in the sense that you are alone once on the quest and can't rely on anyone else's help or assistance? If that's the case then I get it. A guide takes you over to the otherside but then you're on your own no matter how many of you crossed over.
