That sounds a perfectly reasonable theory to me. And early Dark season sounds about right to me. And suits my campaign chronology, so I will probably use it.
Except earlier in this thread we've already established that KOS (and that account in the CHDP in particular) isn't that reliable, and that timing still has some issues.
The Bat leaves the New Lunar Temple in Harmony Week of Fire Season, heading to Whitewall. according to . If Whitewall falls in Death Week of Darkness Season, that is 18 weeks later. It would take the Bat less than a week to get to Whitewall, and it the Lunar command are unlikely to delay its use by much (given the costs associated with feeding it). So if that timing is correct, then the Bat arrives at Whitewall nearly two season before Whitewall falls.
The only way to reconcile the two that makes much sense, is that the Bat attacks precede the Fall of Whitewall by some time. While the timing given in the CHDP is wrong about the year the Bat attacks, and wrong about length of time between the Bat and the fall of Whitewall, it may be at least partially correct, in that there is a gap between the unsuccessful attack of the Bat, and the successful attack that brings about the fall of Whitewall.
	Cheers
