At least two types of troll were, at some point, affected by Chaos (Cave and Sea), so it seems that trolls are no more or less resistant than other man-rune species. It may be that 'modern' mainstream troll culture provides some protection, whereas many human cultures (and individuals) are more prone to experimentation?
