Odaylans can use bear powers for self-resurrection. So mythically, there is precedent.
And game balance in HQ doesn't really bother me, or have to be consistent with other views of Glorantha (I mean, you want the world in general to resemble Glorantha, but your PCs can do cool unusual stuff if you want).
