My view is that while 3rd Age Orlanthi are mostly illiterate, duing the 2nd Age literacy was far more common. Lankhor Mhy scholars, Issaries and his Tradetalk, godlearners, EWF. The city of Pavis, in particular, being a hotbed of writing, which is why so many old scrolls are found there.

Glorantha is very post-apocalyptic in many ways, so "A Canticle for Leibowitz" has some ideas for the collection of books, reverence for the written word.

Was the Dewey decimal system invented by a Duck? At our library we use the Huey decimal system.
