The last time I ran a Sartarite clan-based game, i left it to the players to decide what they would do to with their acquired wealth, but I emphasized through role-playing that keeping all their wealth for themselves would inevitably arouse jealousy and resentment in the rest of the clan. They quickly learned that when they came home from adventuring, they needed to share the wealth around and so they got used to giving gifts.
When one of the PC females got married, she got to spend some time working out the details of her wedding dress and the wedding celebration. She decided that she needed to give wedding presents out so that the women of the clan would not resent her for having an expensive dress. And she made sure to throw a big feast as well.

In fact it looks to me like some lunar scourge, that some call tax. Ew! The Orlanthi way is different. Orlanthi don't pay taxes, they give gifts. Even though gifts are socially expected and you expect to receive something in return it is no mandatory payment. I would assume the Orlanthi system is rather flexible like the wind.

Chief, priests, thanes, carls, cottars all have different expectations and needs. Maybe the PCs bring back cattle, silver and other treasures. They are heroes for stealing from the Greydog Clan. But are they also fair and generous? Or will they look greedy and miserly in the eyes of some of their clan mates? I think trying fulfil all expectations bears much more potential for entertaining scenes.
