This gives me three thoughts:
The Watchdog has some legs (? perhaps it has a fish tail, merman style) and a body. Can these come back to life too. Perhaps animated by another part of the Watchdog soul.
What does this nomad god do once it starts wandering the plaines? Do Waha shamans start worshipping it? Does a cult form, riding the Watchdog as it wanders?
Does the Sentinel have the same potential?

Thus strengthened by Lunar Magic the creature was alive again, although no where near as powerful as it had once been. After Argrath smashed Corflu the 'watchdog' escaped into the wilderness, where it joined the other homeless spirits of the Plaines."
