No, she is an animal. She's a herd-man. She's not a hu-man. They are different things. Sure, they look a lot alike, but all the morocanth swear up and down that they don't eat hu-man flesh. Why wouldn't you trust them? (Or, at least, why wouldn't you trust them if they didn't outnumber you?)
And really, given how different each of the hu-man tribes look from each other, I would expect that the herd-men really do look different from the hu-man tribes.
