So it sounds like...
a) From the Dara Happan view point, that masks of the Red Emperor should meet the usual qualifications for emperor (the question of whether he is just a shell for the immortal god not withstanding)and descent from them also works as in the pre-Lunar emperors. b) If Dara Happan needed a new Emperor (either a new mask in the current Lunar way or when they were selecting an emperor back in the pre-Lunar days) and old Emperor didn't have any sons, many of the top clans would have no problems with suitable candidates, but that, as a practical matter, a clan in Raibanth will be in position to make sure there guy got there first.

And a question. In Solar theology, is it believed there is only one proper candidate which the ten tests reveal? Or is it believed that there may be more than one suitable emperor, and the ten tests indicate that he is one of the suitable people?
