My own Humakti character, Silkinister Killer-of-ikadz, whom I get to play tomorrow oh joy (we play once every 2 months), has a simple policy: no clan tattoos. Only Humakti tattoos. The kinship with clan was severed when he died, err was initiated - it's the same actually.

Yes, humakti can live with a clan, being one of their weaponthanes. Some are even "sheathed", they followed a ritual which allows them to be considered as "almost normal" members of the clan, to marry etc. I prefer sociopathic "bare blades". Guess which I'm playing.

Hi all,
One of my players is playing a Humakti, and just asked me about her clan and tribal tattoos. I was thinking that they wouldn't actually be removed, since the relationship between Humakt and the Orlanthi pantheon is a bit complicated. She is still, technically, a member of the clan. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? My player personally disagrees, since they are supposed to sever all kinship ties. I realize I'm probably treading into YGWV territory. THanks,
Zack.
