All other gloranthans don't give a damn about it, and don't even know this classification exists. There are two kinds of magics : OURS and THEIRS. What's ours is Good, what's theirs is at best suspect, at worst damning. Most cultures call other magicians "sorcerers", which means "evil magicians". I am always much amused when I hear lunar proselyts calling orlanthi Wind Lords "air sorcerers".
The PCS being who they are, they of course get exposed to many foreign, strange magics, and try to make sense of them, and become some of these "few philosophers" Jeff alludes to. Though I've not yet seen a "philosopher PC".
