Let's go even farther to simplify this mess.

Approximate percent distribution of individuals per age range:

                 Male  Female
CHILDREN: 50% of total
  Newborns:        5%     5%
  Youngsters:     15%    15%
  Initiands:       5%     5%

ADULTS: 50% of total

  Young adults:   10%    10%
  Mature adults:  10%    10%
  Elders:          5%     5%

For Swensstead this gives us:

CHILDREN: 40 total
  Newborns:         4      4
  Youngsters:      12     12
  Initiands:        4      4 

ADULTS: 40 total
  Young adults:     8      8
