Kyger Litor is the Ancestress of all trolls. It was she who led them from the Underworld to the Surface World at the beginning of the Greater Darkness when Yelm's bright light drove them out.
When the Broken Council brought Gbaji the Deceiver forth into the world, Kyger Litor and her children bore much of the brunt of the atrocities that followed. The Council's curse crippled the troll race by causing their young to be born stunted and often changed. Many priestesses gathered to perform rituals seeking greater fertility from Kyger Litor. Their attempts were only partially successful, and from then on, many trollkin have been born in litters rather than just single births. True Mistress Race trolls are held in special reverence by followers of Kyger Litor.
Kyger Litor is usually depicted as a Mistress Race troll, accoutered with crude regalia of power. Her statues are usually chewed from rock.
Full trolls receive automatic acceptance into the cult. Part-trolls (such as trollkin) must meet steeper requirements. Non-trolls wishing to join must speak Darktongue (the trolls' native language) at least reasonably well, and then undergo a ritual test. Failure to pass the test means death for the applicant.
Karrg is the son of Kyger Litor and the first male troll. He is known as the Master of Weapons and the Valiant Protector. Karrg's Sons are the Rune Lords of the Kyger Litor cult. They are highly skilled fighters. They carry on in the spirit of the Mistress Race trolls who lost so much during the Gbaji Wars, fighting Chaos wherever they find it.
