Yinkin is a half-brother to Orlanth, son of Fralar, God of Carnivores, and Kero Fin. This lesser animal god served as Orlanth's friend and ally through all his wars and is honored for it. It is out of respect to Yinkin that cats are the preferred familiar of Orlanthi.
Yinkin is portrayed either as a shadow cat, or as a human with a cat's head.
