Sun County question

I've been planning to start a pendragon campaign in Sun County, and there are several lose ends I have to tie down before I start. My first problem is that I'm not entirely sure how Sun County society works. Is there any hereditary nobility in Sun County? The book doesn't say. Although Vega is supposed to be from the ancient House of Goldbreath, no other major npc in the book seem to be from noble families. If there are hereditary nobles, then how do these ranks function in relation to the religious ranks? I have problem seeing a hereditary nobility if being Light Son is a requirment. But the option of removing noble houses tastes a bit to much like a ADD society where you get to be lord at 9th lvl (yuck!).

I picture a society divided into something like the manors of pendragon (like the fief of Golden Ears in Sun County) ruled by hereditary nobility. These manors seem to be organized into the militia areas. What does it take to become a ruler of these larger fiefs, and what would their title be? And finally where do the templars fit in? The village in Gaumata's Vision was ruled by a retired Templar, but I don't see ordinary templars as rulers of the larger towns. There wouldn't be enough towns to keep them occupied. And where are the squares stationed? It seems to me that there are a couple of classes missing in the description of Sun County society. There is the commoner, there is the templar (a cross between a houshold knight and sergant in pendragon terminology), there are the lords of the many manors ('bachelor knights' from the local House. Title?), there are the rulers of the larger fiefs (similar to Bannereth knights in pendragon?).

Last and not least, the fact that Sun County is theocratic makes it even more confusing. Where does the Light Servants, Light Sons and the Light Priests fit in all of this?
