My reasoning was that the sky dome was a hemisphere with a radius of approx half the width of the surface world; ie about 6000km. Or to put it another way, if I imagined a map of Glorantha and stick my head about half it's width from the page, and look at it with one eye closed, then that is what the surface would look like. So, not much suface detail; like roads and cities, but good for accurate coastlines and big black blobs to represent mountain ranges. I was really thinking of 'views from the RW moon' type scales.

But, I have to agree with Alex, and hence rubbish my own idea, on mythic views from the stars. Although, again, if it was Godlearners messing about in other peoples myths and sneaking off to look through a nearby star then views of Glorantha in mythic periods could be considered even more interesting, especially to other godlearners.
