This would be against the idea of selecting an 'attack' to which the opponent has a weak resistance, thus starting off with an advantage over him. It would also make a win on the first 'attack' a bit hard to judge - if your opponent hasn't set his AP according to his resistance, what happens if you win? This would make ambushing, for instance, tricky.
