Wulf Corbett is clearly correct that starting APs must be based on first ability used, even if it is a resistence.

Does that mean Extended Contests always run like:

First Round: Initiator of the contest acts first (or only?)

Subsequent Rounds: Whoever has the most APs acts first.

(Sorry, I don't have the rules to hand.)
