Well yes, its the old Oscar Wilde vs Great Troll problem isn't it. Perhaps in this case its how quickly you can flash the cash vs how quickly he can chop your head off. Wealth should not just be a measure of how much cash you have but also of how good you are at making use of it.

I'm not claiming its perfect but it seems workable and to me at least makes more sense than a final action.
