Good point! After the Bat, most other horrors pale into insignificance.
Maybe something like "insanely optimistic"? Once you know the Bat can be defeated, it's hard to see anything else as unbeatable, no matter how big.
How do they now feel about heights? Or strong winds? What else did they experience?
