Not a HQ term at all, sorry, the game is RQ. And the term no longer makes sense in HQ-Glorantha. Erm.... If I say every other PC has about two masteries on mine, does that give the right impression? Senior weapon-thanes v. a pre-adult. And since this is RQ, skill levels are all we have, no relationships, personality traits, etc etc. That game, would, I think, run far better in HQ, but even in RQ, it's still great fun. And completely unbalanced.

I like that description. I don't think it's complete, but it's closer than I've got before.
