Very true, but who says it has to mean the Humakti is about to engage, or is engaged in a fight that may well be his last? They are death cultists. There death song may well be a metaphor for their combat. The berserk bit is what makes me believe the idea its when they think they have had their chips! As I said before, I don't hold that Humakti are berserkers. Therefore it is appropriate for the last stand.

Thus, if you want a character that regularly benefits from this magic, then Urox/ Stormbull is your friend. Going berserk is a religious imperative......

PS: Beserker Rune Spell was a 2 point spell of Zorak Zoran, available to Storm Bull worshippers (Cults Compendium P.72)

I think that Berserker was made a general combat magic for other cults in RQ3, but I don't have RQ3 anymore, just the Glorantha book (5). I ritually burnt the other 4 books. It took years to get over the feeling of abandonment and the Gloranthan desolation post RQ2....
