What about augmenting with [Use Grimoire]? I can see that having the Grimoire to hand is a logical restriction if you want to use the [Use Grimoire] as your base ability, but it seems reasonable to me that an augmenting use would not necessarily require the presence of the grimoire for a casting 'in the field'.
