Regarding the different relative effects on hero and follower, p.86
(types of followers) has each type in bold (ally, dependent etc)...

The types of followers is not directly expressed mechanically (I think), but the categorisation helps as you perceive it as a rule
(sort of). Such a hybrid could serve very well for the different
possible effects on follower vs. hero, each one with a bold subheading. A common language, so the Narrator says, "an X defeat, do you want option a, b or c from page y?".
