All looks correct to me. Although, actually, thinking about it, you could just ignore the last one, and say its an automatic "complete defeat" for the resistance (per p. 51), and not bother with the roll.

I don't think so, because the base resistance is always higher than 6, so there'd be no point mentioning that. So it must mean that if base - M gives you a result of 7 or higher, use 6 instead. Otherwise use base - M, because that gives a number lower than 6. Unless its a typing error in the rules, I can't see any other interpretation.

If you give the resistance an automatic "complete defeat" if it falls below 1, then, yeah, it only counts at base resistances of 1M to 5M, because there's no roll at all if it's 20 or less.
