The common magic rules in HQ 1 had too much detail in some areas, (ie
distinguishing between spells and feats), and too little attention on
guidance on what sort of magic would be suitable for common magic and
what sort of magic would be suitable or "specialized" magic.
HQ2 is pared down. To play Glorantha in HQ2, you also need
Sartar:Kingdom of Heroes. Rather than have you buy two more books, my
suggestion is to treat common magic as a simple magical ability with no
flashy effects and the magic can only be used to augment other abilities.
