IIRC James was talking about possible dual natures of the troll cults,
but this was more to do with different styles of worship in different areas

For reasons I don't claim to understand/recall he suggested that Karg would be worshipped Theistically in D Inkarth (and hence Pavis), but Animistically elsewhere
